GC Shop is a work order management software for 3D printing model shops that aims to simplify the 3D Printing Shop workflow for engineers, designers and shop operators by reducing time wasted trying to keep track of 3D print requests.

Problem
Based on research from our product team, 15% of a typical shop's week is wasted tracking down work order requirements and communicating status between engineers, designers and operators.
The MVP
Our product team helped us define the minimum feature-set we needed to launch the MVP for managing work orders for 3D printing model shops. A web based application for small model shops and shops without internal existing solutions that simplifies, print work requests, communications and status updates integrated with GrabCAD Print.
Opportunity
How can we design a web application for 3D printing orders that simplifies the workflow of requestors and operators for model shops and without existing solution ?
Design process
Wireframes: Based on the MVP, I produced some wire frames and after collaborating with product and R&D, I put together a set of high fidelity mockups to show customers.
Customer visit: Our customer success team helped us pick a few ideal customers in which we shared the high fidelity mockups to test our assumptions and validate our MVP
Design Iteration: The MVP proposal went through many iterations and usability tests before landing on a final proposed design.
